AMUHACKS 5.0 is Aligarh Muslim University's flagship 36-hour online hackathon, where students build innovative solutions around real-world problem statements across multiple themes.

The entire event is conducted online. All communication, hacking, mentoring and submissions happen remotely through platforms like Devfolio, Discord/WhatsApp and video-conferencing tools.

No, there is no registration fee. Participation is completely free for all accepted teams.

Teams can typically have 2–4 members. We recommend forming a balanced team with a mix of developers, designers and problem-solvers.

You are free to use any programming languages, frameworks, tools or APIs, as long as your project can be demonstrated and reviewed by the judges.

Yes. You should maintain your project code in a public GitHub repository and share the link in your final Devfolio submission.

Your repo should include the complete source code, a clear README with setup instructions, problem statement, tech stack, features, and if possible screenshots or a demo link.

Projects are generally judged on innovation, impact, technical complexity, design & user experience, and the quality of the final presentation or demo.
